Exhibit on display through May 2016
Opening reception Friday, April 29th, 5 – 7 p.m.
Santa Fe Community College’s Red Dot Gallery presents it’s annual Spring Show featuring this year’s selection of new artists and artwork. The exhibit opens with a public reception on Friday, April 29th, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. and runs to May 2016. The Gallery is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Selected work from SFCC’s talented pool of ceramic artists are presented alongside collage, drawing, fine furniture, glassware, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture and woodturning. We will have a faculty talk by well-known Santa Fe graphic artist Joel Nakamura, “Artist as Entrepreneur” at 5 to 5:30 p.m. on the night of the opening reception. Featuring work by numerous student artist/designers, the emphasis is on presenting affordable and unique gift ideas in diverse media such as ceramics, art lamps, mugs and more.
In addition, original pen & ink drawings and prints by local artist Josh Anderson are presented. New work is presented alongside Josh’s prolific oeuvre of graphic creations. His edgy and contemporary drawings speak from the heart about the many trials and challenges of the human experience.
